Mango Turmeric Ginger Smoothie Recipe
Looking for some spice in your smoothie? This recipe has got you covered. It’s creamy, sweet and has a spicy kick all at the same time. How, you ask? Guess you’ll have to try it out yourself to find out!
This smoothie has ginger and turmeric, which are both very healthy spices that have been used for thousands of years. Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties and helps relax and soothe your digestive tract, leading to better digestion and absorption of nutrients. Turmeric, which looks similar to ginger from the outside but has an orange inside, is also highly anti-inflammatory and is a powerful antioxidant. According to recent studies, it has even been shown to kill cancer cells in labs and promote repair to stem cells in the brain!
- 1- ½ cup almond milk
- 1 ½ cup mangoes
- 1 banana
- 1 tsp fresh ginger
- 1 tsp fresh turmeric
- 4 medjool dates, pitted
Place the almond milk, mangoes, banana, ginger, turmeric and dates in your blender and blend away! Enjoy!
