Stepping Into My New Fitness + Wellness Realm

We all make resolutions at the beginning of the year. For me, I wanted to start exercising. I knew I wanted to train at home for the most part, but I also wanted to find a gym where I could access exercise equipment that I don’t have at home. However, the option of a traditional gym didn’t resonate with me because I felt embarrassed about my lack of experience with the various machines and exercises. I was looking for different options - this is when I came across InsideOut Studio.

During May, I had the opportunity to try two types of classes at InsideOut - a private personalized class, and a group yoga class. I wish to share my experience for those who are looking for a place that will positively impact both their physical and mental well-being!

Personalized Training Session

The personalized training session was an eye-opening experience of my own endurance. It was a session where the professionalism and knowledge of the trainer guided the experience.

Before we started, we had a conversation that encompassed a 360 of where I was and where I could realistically channel my future more fit self. We also reviewed my body composition measures and other important aspects to plan my goals. This gave me great confidence in the process, knowing that my training plan was based on a personalized and detailed assessment.

During the session, my coach (Michael) demonstrated not only his practical ability, but also his solid theoretical background on how muscles and the human body work in harmony and independently. He showed me how to properly perform the movements, improving my posture and explaining in simple words what my goals were with each exercise.

I was also impressed with how he adapted the exercises to my level and considered that it was my first time in the studio. This is relevant because many times when we start training on our own we demand things from our body, instead of building endurance over time to see results. Having an instructor made me feel comfortable and motivated to do my best while taking care of my limits.

The workout time was so quick that I recommend a 1 hour workout to make the most of your time with the instructor!

Group Yoga Class

The group yoga class is a completely different experience, but just as rewarding. Kind of a yin and yang. We focused on gentle stretches and some yoga poses that were relaxing for the body and being breath aware.

Instructor Arsh, with her calm and attentive approach, includes variations of poses according to the different levels of the participants. This allows each person to move at their own pace, making the class accessible and enjoyable for everyone.I have enjoyed indoor and outdoor classes where we are able to connect with the present through environmental factors such as temperature, breeze, and other ambient sounds, too.The group yoga class is a completely different experience, but just as rewarding. We’ve done some gentle stretches and yoga poses that are relaxing for the mind, soul, and body.

Why InsideOut?

One of the things that stands out the most about InsideOut Health + Fitness Studio is the private and personalized atmosphere. Unlike public gyms, where you often feel the pressure of body shaming and the constant gaze of others, InsideOut offers a safe and comfortable space. Note: they also come to you - wherever you are. Here, the focus is on you and your goals, without distractions or judgment.

At InsideOut, I feel supported and accompanied by real people, just like me, who are looking to achieve their goals in a healthy and sustainable way. This experience has changed my perspective on exercise and wellness, and I'm excited to continue my journey.
