Social, Sizzlin’+ Nutrition (Part Two)
The goals I have set for myself recently have already been showing their results with my progress under the guidance of InsideOut Health + Fitness. I've noticed a remarkable improvement in things like my endurance, (thanks to the weekly Park BootCamp classes). These outdoor workouts, held in the fresh air, in the presence of some of the most beautiful sunsets, have been instrumental in pushing my limits. Each session is designed to nudge my limits and improve stamina, incorporating a mix of cardio, strength training exercises baked in some challenges disguised as fun!
My Exciting Fit Fam World
The encouragement and support from our "IO Fit Fam" community have been incredibly motivating. The camaraderie and shared goals create an environment where we all inspire each other to work harder and push through our own individual challenges with no forced competition which suits me. In this way, I find that by working alongside others, I am more inspired to push my limits even further, leading me to having an even more successful workout. The collective energy of the IO Fit Fam not only fuels my workouts but also inspires me to continue striving to keep growing my overall fitness even further than the last time!
I also have found improvement with my attendance of the HIIT Class. I definitely have become stronger thanks to the circuit style class. Last week I attempted powerlifting for the first-time, and for someone who has never stepped into this region of fitness, I would call it a SUCCESS. As Barry encouraged me, “Your foundation for a first try is pretty great!” Having support like this throughout these sessions plays a big role in motivating me to continue to get better throughout my journey.
Unlocking My Nutrition Secrets!
I also took the next step in becoming more aware of my nutrition with InsideOut’s Nutritionist - to discuss my results of the personalized forms and questionnaires I filled out recently for Marissa. My follow-up meeting with her proved to be very insightful as we exposed some very important clues in bettering my nutrition. You might think nutrition in fitness would be “less fat, more protein, eat kale, etc.” but there’s actually a lot more that goes into it. For example, deficiencies can slow your overall progress and results drastically. This is why a Professional Nutrition Review can come in handy when working on your improving habits towards fitness goals! While there are some small things I need to change in my daily diet, nothing is set in stone. Marissa will have more personal feedback to report shortly but we did finish off our meeting by having developed a strategy to attack my fitness goals. With supplementation and new food/lifestyle recommendations, my journey will jump to the next step. Considering food and lifestyle, I’ve added a greens smoothie consistent of cucumber, celery, pineapple, an all-greens powder from Webbers Naturals, and moringa to my daily routine! I will be talking more about certain health aspects I’ve added to my day-to-day in the next blog.
What’s To Come
My journey so far with InsideOut has been mentally and physically transformational. The HIIT and BootCamp sessions have significantly improved my endurance and strength. The supportive IO Fit Fam community motivates me to push my limits and achieve my goals. Finally, meeting with InsideOut’s nutritionist, Marissa, provided valuable insights into my nutritional needs and helped develop a comprehensive strategy for my fitness journey. With the combination of some intense workouts and personalized nutrition guidance, I am excited to continue striving for greater endurance and overall fitness.
